5 Year Member Recognition

This year marks the fifth annual GCLS Literary Conference where we will recognize exceptional authors whose books were published in 2008. The year of this conference, 2009, also has another significant meaning to our organization as it marks the anniversary of our fifth year as a literary organization. Creation of the GCLS, which officially began in February, 2004, would not have been possible without the support our longtime members have always provided.

During a special pinning ceremony on Thursday, July 23, at 8:30 AM during our conference kick-off session, the Board of Directors will recognize the GCLS Literary Society members who have been continuous members since our very first year. Eligible members will receive a specially cast commemorative lapel pin in recognition of their loyalty and support of the GCLS. Without these members the organization would never have made it this far, and through their support of both lesbian literature and the Golden Crown Literary Society, we have solidly cast our footprint in history, creating a boundless vision for the future. Please plan to join us to celebrate these founding members.


Eligibility:
Founding Members must have:

-Joined the Golden Crown Literary Society for the first time between February 24, 2004 and June 30, 2005.
-Continuous membership which lapsed no more than 30 days between any annual renewal.
-Current GCLS membership as of December 2008.
